One-To-One Wellbeing Support (RAPs)
Our One-To-One Wellbeing Support takes the shape of a RAP, or a Recovery Action Plan. We are currently funded to offer RAPs to individuals across Kent (excluding Medway).
The Recovery Action Plans are designed to allow individuals to take a holistic look at their life and identify areas where they may need support to improve their wellbeing.
Adult RAPs are being offered to increase the wellbeing and improve the mental health of those who have been adversely affected by the pandemic. These one-on-one sessions with Mid Kent Mind’s wellbeing workers will provide people with structured support as they begin to return to life under the ‘New Normal’.
The Recovery Action Plan consists of the ten following areas:
- Managing Mental Health
- Life Skills
- Physical Health and Self-care
- Relationships
- Social Networks
- Aspirations
- Responsibilities
- Addictive / Challenging Behaviour
- Identity
- Self-esteem
These RAP sessions are available free of charge – and they can be booked using the booking form found on this page. These sessions are available for people over the age of 17.
Our Recovery Action Plans currently take place over ZOOM. These sessions are tailored to individuals who may benefit more from one-to-one support. They aim to provide a safe space where an individual can work with our Wellbeing Workers to set realistic goals which they can achieve each week.
Sessions are currently delivered virtually via ZOOM – and sessions last for one hour per week for six weeks. It is important to note that these sessions are not Counselling.
If you have any questions about our One-To-One Wellbeing Support, you can e-mail us via recoveryplanning@midkentmind.org.uk.
This course is delivered as a part of the wider reaching COMF programme – providing a range of different mental health support to Adults in Kent. For more details on the COMF programme, click here.
