Mindfulness & Me

Most people think Mindfulness is about meditation in your garden. However, Mindfulness is a simple, fun and easy way to distract ourselves from our everyday worries.

During these sessions we will look at simple ways which young people can use to acknowledge and accept their thoughts, feelings and body sensations in positive ways.

The course is designed to help people to understand how Mindfulness can be a beneficial tool when it comes to building emotional resilience – helping young people to proactively manage their mental health so that they can prevent themselves from experiencing periods of mental ill health. 

The hope is that the skills and techniques young people take away from this programme will have a farther-reaching impact for their wellbeing in the future – meaning that although the course is only five weeks, the impact it has should be much longer-lasting.
