Menopause and Mindfulness and Menopause and Movement
Are you a mid-life woman struggling with the impact of perimenopause or menopause?
Join our 6 week courses designed to offer mental health support alongside either mindfulness or movement sessions that can help you through this challenging time of life.
We know that for many women, menopause can be a challenging time; as well as the physical symptoms, it can also impact your mental health. This course is designed to give you tools and techniques that can help you manage some of the most commonly reported symptoms such as stress and anxiety. Our team will provide a safe and supportive space for you to meet new people and connect and share experiences. Each week you will also be introduced to a series of gentle movements that can help lift your mood and improve your overall wellbeing.
What will the sessions involve?
Each session starts with an opportunity for you to share your experiences and connect with other members of the group. Our Wellbeing Coach will guide the discussion around specific topics and these will include the links between hormone changes and mental health, the impact of stress and what healthy coping strategies can be used to manage this.
Depending on which course you book, the second half of the session will comprise either gentle movements and stretches, or mindfulness. You are welcome to join both courses if you wish.
If you join our movement course: our Level 3 qualified instructor will guide you through some gentle exercise movements designed to improve wellbeing. This will involve some standing exercises and some floor based work. If you have any concerns about this, we can discuss it with you at the point of booking.
If you join our mindfulness course: the second half of the session will involve exploring different techniques that can be used to help us stay present in the moment and manage feelings of anxiety and stress. This could include grounding, breathing, journaling etc…
What should I wear?
We recommend you come in comfortable clothes so that you are able to take part in the exercises.
